Are there any other Ranger 380 Chief owners in the house?

I just got my hands on my late grandfather's old 380 Chief, it's been gathering dust for years. Some of my favorite childhood memories are from fishing on those East Texas lakes in that very boat, and now I'm diving into restoring it back to its former glory

Oh I relate with you so much. I don't have it but my family did and damn that's a great boat to bring back to life. I've helped fix up an older Ranger and it was totally worth the time. I can tell you that it's just so fulfilling.

I have worked on an older Ranger before, carpet and seats were the first things checked. Try checking the transom and deck for soft spots too!
