I'm looking to buy a new-to-me RT188P soon and was hoping for some help from the members here. I know the White River Marine Group (Johnny Morris Co.) took over Ranger in 2015, but when exactly did they start producing the RT188P model? I'm trying to get a sense of the boat's history. More importantly, has there been any noticeable difference in the build quality or performance of the RT188P over the years? Has the pad hull always been the same, or have they made changes? Any insight from people who have owned a few different years would be awesome. Thanks!

The RT188P? Been around since the early 2010s. White River Marine grabbed it in 2015. They've kept the quality pretty steady, just tweaking the hull and features a bit over the years. That pad hull design? Mostly the same.

It was introduced as a pad hull version of the original RT188, giving better top end performance and a slightly different ride, the build quality has been good overall, but peopl who've owned both pre and post WRMG models sometimes say the earlier ones felt a bit more polished in the details....wiring, finishing, stuff like that
