I've owned a few Ranger bass boats, but now I'm eyeing the new Ranger Intercoastal Z521, since I mostly fish the Potomac River, I'm wondering if this boat would be a good fit, does anyone have thoughts or experience with this model on similar waters?

Its a good choice . It's more bass boat than bay boat, so it'll do fine most days, just might get a little rough if the wind kicks up but good all around fit if you're mostly sticking to calmer water.

It sounds like it'll work well for calm days, but I'm guessing it might struggle a bit if the Potomac gets choppy.

it does well on calm days, but when the Potomac gets choppy, it might not be as smooth. Have you considered adding trim tabs or checking out boats with a deeper V hull?
