I'm looking into buying a new RT 198 and was wondering about the top speed. I know it depends on a lot of things like with the weight and other factors, but I'd love to hear from folks here who owns one and can share their real life experience.

@mawerty555 I've got an RT198 with a 150hp Pro XS, and I usually see about 48-49 MPH by myself with a light tournament load.
If I really trim it out perfect on smooth water, I've hit 51 MPH. With a full load, two people, and a choppy day, I'm usually around 45-46 MPH. It's a great fishing platform, and that speed is plenty for most situations!

The RT 198 usually hits around 60 to 65 mph stock, but it really depends on things like load, motor, and conditions, owners often say mid 60s is doable with a good setup.
